Megan Carroll is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska where she majored in English and Graphic Design at Creighton University. She received her MFA in Film & Television Production from USC in May 2019. While at USC, Megan focused on writing, directing, and producing both fiction and nonfiction projects. She solo produced Moz Angeles, a thesis documentary about the unique Los Angeles subculture of Smiths/Morrissey fans and Unhappy Birthday, a fiction comedy short about a breakup. A dramatic short Megan wrote, Tuesday, was selected through a highly competitive process to be produced as a USC-funded thesis project. Megan was also recently awarded the 2019 Sloan Screenwriting Grant for her feature screenplay The Bone Wars, which she co-wrote.
